Having graduated from the Department of Commerce at the prestigious Keio University with a major in marketing, Kyouka Kanayama has served as an honorary member of the board of trustees and has received an honorary Doctor of Social Psychology at Cheonan University in South Korea.

During her activity as an art dealer in New York, she became a collector herself and has been entrusted with the care of rare works of art by renowned artists such as Robert Mapplethorpe and Andy Warhol.

In 2004, Kyouka produced the exhibition “Kyouka Kanayama’s Aesthetic World,” a collaboration of “Aroma” and photographs from Robert Mapplethorpe’s flower series. She also participated in the exhibition as an installation artist.

Kyouka’s many strange and wondrous encounters with people during the various hardships in her life have led to her to ‘rebirth’. Research into Chinese medicine, Indian philosophy, vision psychology, hypnosis, psychotherapy and aromatherapy combined with her deep involvement with the spiritual realm has led her to develop her own unique style.

She now performs aromatherapy with original “fragrances,” color counseling and healing seminars for celebrities. Her vast experience is also put to use as a marketing advisor for the “creation of the 21st century.”
